According to our microwave expert
With a capacity of 40 liters, the microwave is also suitable for preparing a large casserole or an entire chicken.
Select the weight and the type of dish, and the automatic program will set the correct time and preparation method.
It lasts longer thanks to the mid-range build quality.
Due to its large size, the microwave takes up a lot of space on the countertop, so make sure it fits.
This 900-watt microwave isn't suitable for heating meals quickly.
With 18 automatic programs, the Sharp R-931 INW makes cooking as easy as possible. Instead of selecting the microwave, hot air, or grill function yourself, simple indicate what you're preparing. The microwave will then select the correct preparation method and time automatically. Out of 18 programs, 7 are especially for defrosting food products, 2 are to heat up meals, and there's 1 for baking a cake. When you'd rather follow grandma's apple pie recipe, simply set the oven temperature or power level yourself. Use the grill in combination with the hot air or microwave function for a golden brown crust on your dish.

I bought this combi microwave because of the content: more spacious than most other brands and models. The contents and performance of the oven are good, however...
The oven will immediately cool down as soon as the set time has elapsed. So if I bake a cake and set 60 minutes of baking time, and those are over, the oven starts cooling immediately, while I may want to add a few more minutes because I'm not happy with the baking result. But then the oven is already sucking out heat, very disturbing, because now I have to make sure I'm right at the oven as soon as it expires, then I press preheat and that way the temperature is maintained - if I'm fast enough. And if you can immediately press STOP so that it stops cooling, but no, that is of no use, the cooling process just continues. Why, Sharp? This is really a design flaw, I can't explain it any other way, and it's a reason not to buy this device, I wouldn't buy it again.
Another disturbing feature is the fact that the buttons don't work when the door is open, so you can't press stop when you take something out of the oven, no, close the door first.
The ECO mode means: no time is displayed on the screen, because the screen turns off after use. How much energy that saves remains to be seen (I think it's really minimal), but that means you don't have a clock on the device, and a clock in the kitchen is handy. So then you buy a separate clock in the kitchen, you still use that energy, but it does cost you more money to buy a clock and the battery in that clock is not environmentally friendly either, just like the clock itself of course, so so ECO isn't it all.
All in all: excellent performance when it is on, but that of the automatic cooling is really a big miss. Do you like to bake cake, pie, quiche, etc? Then ignore this oven, because automatic cooling is really something you don't want.

I've waited a while to write a review until I've used the oven often and extensively. The previous oven we had was a Samsung, bought 12 years ago and finally broke down this spring. The oven we got next was also a Samsung (a modern and SMART oven), through another seller. In addition, the surface the oven was standing on became abnormally hot, and after three weeks the oven started making a lot of noise, so I had the oven picked up again. After the many hassles with the oven, I looked very carefully at all the reviews and thought long and hard about which oven I would buy. I've had the Sharp for several months now. The advantages of this Sharp: you have two baking trays, so you can bake cookies or roast a lot of vegetables or roast potatoes, or both. (Large pieces of meat would also fit well.) For a family of four, that's very nice. Yes, what other people say is correct, you have to turn the baking sheets halfway through so that everything browns evenly. I find the cooking times slightly different from what is in the cookbooks and compared to the previous (working) Samsung. After a while and also a few microwave overboil moments, I have found my niche. Sometimes the oven (oven function) gets a little wet inside, especially if you use two baking trays and roast vegetables. Condensation will then form on the door and in the oven itself. Didn't affect the results. People previously indicated that, according to them, preheating takes a long time. I think that's not too bad, and I had a quick-preheat function on the old Samsung. What's stupid is that to use the oven you have to open the door first. A design flaw indeed, as someone already pointed out. The display is clear, the use is also clear. Simple buttons. I hardly use automatic programs so I can't comment on this. Finally, I steam a lot. I bought a new steamer basket because the old one was made of metal (in the Samsung I had a steam function). From Joseph Joseph. This fits easily in the oven, but is a bit small if you want to steam vegetables for 4 people. Handy to have a steamer that works on a regular microwave function. I think the quality of the inside and outside is a bit lower, just the material, the sturdiness, etc. The grilles that come with it are also made less sturdy than the old grilles of the Samsung. I wonder if this oven will also last 12 years, but so far I am satisfied with it. It's also nice that it was neatly delivered by the delivery person, by the way, not to the kitchen, but to the hallway.

I like the product because it is easy to use and has a huge volume. No more burnt over mitts. Since the thing is quite high, the wide door (no flap) and therefore large space is a godsend.
