According to our pan expert
This pot has a high-end build quality, so it's sturdy and lasts a long time.
The drip rings in the lid distribute the moisture in the pan evenly, so your dish remains nice and tender.
The Dutch oven is suitable for all heat sources, including induction and use in the oven up to 240°C.
A cast-iron pan is relatively heavy and less easy to move around than an aluminum pan.
With the Staub Round Dutch Oven 26cm Black, you get an eye-catcher. You can use the enameled cast iron pan to sear, bake, steam, and caramelize ingredients. The cast iron distributes the heat gradually and evenly and retains it well. Once the pan is heated, you can continue at a low temperature. This way, your dish cooks slowly and you save energy at the same time. The flat, heavy lid has spikes on the inside. This drip system and the condensation process sprinkle moisture on the contents of your Staub Dutch oven continuously. As a result, the dish simmers evenly and you hardly lose moisture. Want to speed up the condensation process? Put ice cubes in the lid when simmering.
Durability
Tried several frying pans but this is the one that will stay ... has a very good heat distribution and therefore no hotspots where the meat burns earlier. A flat bottom so that the butter or oil remains well distributed in the pan and does not run to one side. The meat is continuously moistened by the condensation against the lid and therefore remains really more tender ... So what Staub promises in the text / advertisement they really do!!!
