Recipes often talk about grilled vegetables and I had no opportunity to grill vegetables. In the end I decided to buy a grill pan. I chose the Tefal Expertise Grill Pan 26 cm because I have good experiences with Tefal's non-stick coating. Quite expensive to purchase, but it works much better than the non-stick coating of cheap pans and the Tefal pans last a long time. The usefulness of the red dot escapes me a bit, because I don't see the color change when heated (I also have with the other Tefal pans).
Grilling the vegetables went faster than I expected. For example, if you cut courgettes and aubergines into fairly thin slices, they will be cooked in no time and you will get nice stripes on them. If you put them in the pan a bit diagonally, first to the right and then to the left, you even get nice checks, I learned from a TV chef and that was very easy indeed. I grilled with and without fat and in both cases the grilling worked well and the stripes appeared on the vegetables. I think the addition of a little olive oil tastes a bit better.
In terms of size, the pan is just right for me. If this pan is on the stove, you can also use the other burners (but not with pans that are too large). The size allows you to grill enough vegetables at the same time, so that it all gets along a bit.
The pan is quite heavy, but you don't have to lift it during use.
All in all, this pan is a good addition to my collection of kitchen utensils: it gives the opportunity to prepare vegetables differently and thus also put a different taste on the table. I therefore highly recommend the Tefal Expertise Grill Pan.
I ordered the pan on Friday and it was delivered by bike on Saturday afternoon.
