According to our router expert
With a WiFi speed of 2167Mbps, this router is faster than comparable routers.
The Multi user MIMO WiFi antennas deliver maximum speed for each device.
Thanks to its Dual-Core processor, this router is able to perform several heavy tasks simultaneously.
To achieve the highest available speed of this router, connected devices must support 5GHz.
This router offers coverage on 1 or 2 floors, depending on the size of your house. Choose multi-room WiFi for WiFi throughout your house.
With the TP-Link Archer C3150, you have a strong and stable WiFi network for all your devices everywhere in your home. With a speed of up to 2167Mbps, the router is suitable for the heaviest network users, such as streaming 4K movies/series and online gaming. The antennas are designed to aim directly at the receiving devices. This helps the WiFi signal to go around corners and pass through walls, and it greatly increases the wireless stability and range.

Bought to serve as a conduit (access point mode) and to replace a Linksys router that was no longer safe according to certain security analysis software (Bitdefender Home scanner).
Now after three weeks at home and extensive testing, I have come to the following conclusion: The range is reasonable, at least better than the linkssys router (maybe I'm too demanding, but Line of Sight doesn't get further than about 70-80 meters without significant obstacles, I think is just mediocre or at least not good enough to give it another predicate to give)
Granted with cabling you also have problems at such a distance without amplifiers in between, so it probably couldn't be better.
Much more disturbing to me is the LSH vulnerability (on 2 points, of course) and the problems I had with installing the latest firmware. I ended up here myself through years of experience with similar equipment, but this doesn't deserve a medal either.
Finally, I would like to say that in my opinion there is a disturbing error message that you as an end user cannot do anything with. It concerns the message: “V2 igmp router occurred! Not matching ours V3”. This cryptic message appears every 2 minutes in the log and has unfortunately been a recurring disturbance at TP Link for a number of years, as it turned out to me when I was looking for a solution (I couldn't find one, by the way and I was forced to change the threshold value from the log) scoured the forums. In fact, it doesn't bother you, especially if you apply the tweak I just mentioned.
There are also OK plus points, the device is very fast and can serve a modern family with ease. The design looks nice and apart from the software installation it is simple and very clear to use.
All in all, highly recommended in this price range, but in my opinion TP Link should really do something about the vulnerabilities, remove that weird error message and ensure that updating the firmware is easier or at least without problems. expires.

Beforehand I was skeptical whether I would be able to install the router. Well that turned out to be a piece of cake. The router works really well. Everything is really fast and the range is much better than the Ziggo's router. That router also wanted to give up the ghost if son and daughter started streaming at the same time. No pain with this one.

The router looks solid and this can be seen and noticed in everything. One downside (which I'm already arguing about with TP-Link), and that is the parental control. I would like to turn off my children's internet at set times during the week. Now you can, and it looks like in the older versions you can even do that per day. But in this new one you can only choose weekdays and weekends. With us, however, the weekend starts Friday evening. Unfortunately, he also takes this day with him as a weekday. A disturbing minus point for me and therefore not a good upgrade compared to. the previous version.
