Switched from my old TS-459 Pro II to this nas. This boy's box was not closed/sealed upon receipt and it was shipped in its original packaging. The package includes a Cat 6 UTP, bolts, manual and keys and its power supply with a cord. Detaching the HDDs from the previous bays took some screwing and pushing them into the new bays went very quickly. Remove 2 plates on the sides and insert the HDD and then push the plates back on. After starting up, Qfinder pro showed me that the migration of the 4 HDDs was OK. The only option I had is to use QUTS Hero as OS. I would like to use QTS but how do I do that? So on the site of qnap just search and found the necessary explanation. Boot the NAS without HDDs and when you log in you will be given the option to choose QTS. The same goes if you want to go back to QUTS Hero. After the startup, the nas was turned off again and the HDDs were fully pushed back into their slot and then started up again. After startup put my fixed IP back and everything was as it was before on the old nas, only now with modern software.
