According to our monitor expert
Thanks to the 175Hz refresh rate and 0.1ms response time, you can game with very smooth images that are suitable for esports.
Colors, shadows, and other graphics come into their own better on the OLED screen.
You can experience games in an immersive way thanks to the light curve in the screen.
A 34-inch ultrawide monitor takes up a lot of space, so make sure you have a large enough desk.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S don't support ultrawide settings, so you won't fill the entire monitor screen.
Enjoy a fast and immersive gaming experience with the Philips 34M2C8600/00 34-inch 175Hz QHD ultrawide curved gaming monitor. Thanks to the 175Hz refresh rate and 0.1ms response time, you can even play graphically-demanding games at the highest settings. Using an AMD video card? Enable on AMD FreeSync technology and synchronize your video card with the monitor. This prevents slowdowns and screen tearing, so you can continue to game smoothly. This monitor has an OLED panel, which means that the pixels in the screen make their own light. You can see realistic differences in the tiniest details that way. Combined with the QHD resolution and high coverage percentage within the DCI-P3 space, this ensures vibrant colors. You can also immerse yourself in your games thanks to the curved screen. It feels like you're in the middle of the action that way, like in a cockpit or racing car. More of a console gamer? Connect an Xbox Series X, Series S, or PlayStation 5 via HDMI 2.0 and enjoy 120Hz gaming in Full HD or QHD. You can also tilt, turn, or adjust the monitor in height and set up an ergonomic sitting position that way. This prevents neck and back complaints after a longer gaming session. Use the monitor for more than just gaming? Connect your laptop via USB-C and combine 3 tasks in one. This ports transmits image signals, transfers data, and charges your device with 65W of power. That way, your battery is always full while you game.
Note: the maximum refresh rate via HDMI is 100Hz. For 175Hz gaming, you need to connect the monitor via DisplayPort or USB-C. You also need a powerful video card like the RTX 3080 or an Xbox Series X for QHD gaming.
Very good, if not excellent picture, but with some drawbacks. However, as far as I'm concerned, these do not outweigh the quality, although I can imagine that not everyone will be happy with that. Some things could also be stated more clearly, although I understand that this is not very useful commercially. The menu takes some getting used to but OK.

I was hesitating between the odyssey g8 and a lg. I finally made these choices. And I am really happy with it. The gaming is really next level, the colors are so strong. You are really sucked into your game. It doesn't get any better than this for the time being. Yes, it is a lot of money, but you also know why once you have it on your desk. I do think that you need a strong video card. I have the 4080 Nvidia myself. So find that out properly. Otherwise really great
