TP-Link Archer BE800

The Archer is directly connected to my fiber optic. It is nice and sturdy and stable in its place. My old modem from the internet provider now serves as an extra switch and also as a WiFi access point in the attic. LED show on the device is not necessary for me, so I turned it off. Via the app you get a nice overview of, among other things, the devices that are connected within your network and the Archer. Functions for parental control are limited. But if you want more functions in this, you have to pay for it. Somehow I have not yet managed to get WiFi6 permanently visible and to connect all WiFi6 devices to it. (I am not a computer technician, but with the knowledge I have I would have expected to solve this a bit faster)

Make sure that the rest of your network is also tuned to 2.5/10Gbit, think of the right cables, switch, network cards etc. Otherwise you will not get much out of it.

Product is just not for the lower segments... It is a powerhouse in terms of options and power for a solid network. Wifi6 & 7 settings are great, it does push the Wifi through the concrete and the neighborhood. Transfer speeds are excellent and the connection to the outside also turned out to be a few ticks better/more efficient than the previous one. Future step... the SFP+ module for internal connection and get rid of all that KPN junk. You just notice every step less KPN plastic is a step more connection. It is on a business connection, but even there the plastic ONT cap is just the same private crap (with its own adapter... with extra cables and stuff... because we cannot trust a fiber optic cable with that).

Overall, great thing.

The only downside that is separate from the device... you get a packaging that you can beat someone to death with. Because of the weight, you still have to look for things hidden in it, so that is not too bad.

Easy to set up different frequencies and guest network. PS: don't forget to download the App to set up the LED show.
