According to our monitor expert
Thanks to the low response time and high refresh rate, movements and transitions look smooth.
With a tiltable screen, you can set it to an ergonomic gaming posture.
Thanks to the blue light filter and flicker-free technology, you're less quickly bothered by strained eyes.
This monitor doesn't have built-in speakers for the sound of your games or music.
Play your favorite games on a bright 23.8-inch Full HD LG UltraGear 24GS60F-B gaming monitor. The high 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time ensure smooth movements and transitions while you game. As a result, you're not bothered by screen tearing. All gameplay and cutscenes also look even better with HDR10 support. Do you have an AMD or NVIDIA video card? It works in sync with the screen thanks to FreeSync and G-Sync. In addition, you can tilt this gaming monitor to your liking for a comfortable sitting position during long gaming marathons.
Note: the maximum refresh rate via HDMI is 144Hz. For gaming with 180Hz, you have to connect the monitor via DisplayPort.

My first purchase was very disappointing, the screen had an orange "cloud" in the bottom right corner, the menu lever also felt a bit rickety. I sent that screen back and after some further research it turns out that this monitor can be a bit hit or miss in terms of quality. Finally decided to give it another try and ordered a new set. Both screens are excellent this time. Image is great, no weird effects. The menu stick is also a lot stiffer / firmer. Obviously had a Monday morning model the first time.
27” 1440 is a good upgrade over my previous 24” 1080p. The refresh rate is great (especially with GSync). Image is also a bit sharper and the colors are a huge upgrade (first had TN) in short, very satisfied with it!
Another tip for new owners: if you notice that the brightness seems to fluctuate, the monitor has energy saving turned on by default. Turn it off and it won't bother you anymore.

Ordered for the first time and as indicated here, there was also an orange glow in my screen. Returned and got a new one and the same problem again... Now I read somewhere that 30% of the screens have this problem. Now Coolblue can't do anything about it, but I think that Coolblue should point out to LG that this is not really customer-friendly... LG should check products better before they are scrapped.

So far easy to use and great to play on. I would have liked to see more image quality settings; except that this is available through software for PC (but not in itself).
