Philips 8000 Series Performer LED XD8122/10

I've been using this vacuum cleaner for a few weeks now and I'm very pleased with it!

The long cord and the suction power are great. It's handy to always have the brush attachment handy because it's integrated into the handle. To use it, you slide it down – a downside is that it makes it difficult to vacuum it if necessary. It also takes some getting used to that the other accessories can't be stored inside the appliance, but they don't take up much space and can easily be stored elsewhere. The lights on the vacuum head are nice, although they can be bright on reflective surfaces (batteries included!).

Also good to know: the vacuum head isn't rectangular, so it's not flat at the front either! So if you place it directly against a wall, only the middle section actually touches the wall. This can be tricky in corners.

The vacuum cleaner isn't super heavy, but I find lifting it quite difficult because there's no handle to wrap your hand around. Instead, there's a sort of space at the front bottom where you slide your fingers. This is the biggest drawback—I would have appreciated a grip with my thumb for a more stable grip. Because of this, I find it difficult to lift the vacuum cleaner up the stairs with the wand and hose at the same time, and I now have to walk twice.

I also find the vacuum quite loud on the lowest setting, but I use noise-canceling headphones while vacuuming, so it's not too bad. It can be annoying for other housemates. The scroll button for adjusting the suction power is easy to use, and with stronger suction, you really notice you need more force to maneuver the suction head.

I haven't had to replace the dust bag or filters yet, so I can't say much about them, but from what I've seen, it looks easy to use and is easy to reach.

All in all, a great vacuum cleaner that I'm happy with, with some drawbacks (except for the handle) that require some getting used to or adjustment.

This vacuum cleaner suits us perfectly. Retractable long cable and powerful yet quiet. The light in the vacuum cleaner head helps with floors where the dust is difficult to see. Good price/performance ratio.
