A disadvantage of the new app is that old (2-year-old) Duux devices cannot be paired.

We already had a Whisper Flex 1, but we wanted one in the living room as well. Because the old app doesn't work with new devices, we bought two Flex 2s. But unfortunately, the old one, which is now in the office, cannot be linked to the new app. Nevertheless, we are very satisfied with the fans. They provide good cooling.
