Very relaxing to the eyes and comfortable to work on.
I had the previous generation but could do with an extra monitor.
All the OLEDs that are pushed, or the 27" - a lot of drama and confusing specs. Super high refreshrate or resolution.. blabla.
For me the 24" is a sweet spot and a 27" is just too much! It seems a niche on the market.
Asus is a brand I trust since it brings reliable quality at a decent price. It's unassuming but always feels just a little bit more luxurious to me (they have the typical aluminium finishes and nothing is just plastic) while the quality is higher as competition that looks cheaper.
Since the previous generation, this one has higher resolution. The IPS panel seems to be of a better quality alltogether.
It has USB-C strong enough to recharge your laptop. And delivers video over USB-C if desired (it also has HDMI and displayport in and out) - so it basically works as a docking station as well.
In terms of image quality; the detail of the screen is very impressive. I don't see any grid or pixels anymore. And for this the price was worth it to me. I don't feel I really need "OLED" (I have a 43" Sony OLED tv for that) - which heats up and for working I don't really see such a difference to be on the hype.
As the other reviewer mentioned color: the aluminium part is not flat and has some grooves, so there is some light that makes it not "deep black" but gives some structure. Which makes it look perhaps a bit lighter - and hints towards a "titanium brown undertone", but it's black. I do like it, as it gives a more organic look and fingerprints or wear will never be seen.
