Ik had een redelijk goede monitor, een gereviseerd model met lichte beschadiging achter op de stanaard. Ik zal het merk niet noemen maar ik kreeg uiteindelijk toch behoorlijk last met mijn ogen. Ik zat er te lang achter, met een te grote helderheid en mogelijk was er toch een verborgen probleem, met helderheidswisselingen, synchronisatie of iets dergelijks. Maar als je last krijgt van je ogen, dan ben je dus eigenlijk te laat. Er zat ook een soort dode hoek''; in als je de monitor te hoog had staan was de bovenkant van het scherm niet goed zichtbaar. ik had altijd geleerd dat een monitor recht voor je ogen moet staan zodat je hoeding goed blijft. Maar dat ging met mijn oude monitor dus niet goed..Dat is natuurlijk ook vermoeiend voor je ogen. Hij staat nu op de grond bij plaatsgebrek en de kleuren en dergelijke zijn dan mooier... Ook heb ik hem op de andere displayporrt aangesloten. Ook mijn computer is een gereviseerde tweedehands, wel een goede Dell maar geen videokaart aan boord bijvoorbeeld. Maximale refershreate was 75 Hz. Ik doe verder niet aan gaming dus die frekwentie was geen probleem. Maar vanwege de oogproblemen wilde ik toch een andere monitor in de hoop dat ik daar minder last mee zou hebben en ik wilde graag OLED. De oude was een TN paneel met kleiner kleurbereok dus.
Nu heb ik dus een gaming monitor maar het belangrijkste is voor mij de erg mooie kleurweergave, het uiteraard betere contrast zeker vergeleken met een TN paneel en beeldkwaiiteit in het algemeen. Het is echt een heel andere beleving als je naar een film kijkt. Ik kijk naar het gezicht van astronoom Dr Wolf, in de film 'Deep Impact' en je ziet nu precies de glans van de make up op zijn gezicht. Alle poriën kun je tellen in zijn gezicht terwijl hij een slice pizza naar binnen werkt. Alle glimlichtjes in de verder donkere telescoopruimte worden nu een stuk helderder. Het is echt heel verslavend.
Maar ik moet minder achter mijn computer zitten en het nadeel van OLED zou kunnen zijn dat hij bij statische beelden vooral, zou kunnen inbranden. De monitor neemt wel allerlei maatregelen daartegen ei ik gebruik een lage helderheid dus het valt wel mee. Maar voor Internetten gebruik ik hem dus niet, daarvoor staat de3 oude monitor nog even op de grond. Niet geheel ergonomisch maar ik moet toch minderen.
Verder is het toch wel veruit de duurste monitor die ik ooit gehad heb, Ik heb ook heel lang een goede Samsung gehad maar die heeft het na heel veel jaren trouwe dienst vorig jaar opgegeven.
Een echt goede montor is zijn geld wel waard zeker als je hem eecht nodig hebt voor je werk of zo en je ogen zijn een kostbaar goed.. Let bijvoorbeld op dat je de monitor niet als lichtbak gebruikt. Mijn vorige monitor had ik op hederheid 4 op een schaal van 1 tot 100. Toen was het pas dragelijk maar toch kreeg ik er nog problemen meee. Omdat ik geen videokaart heb kan ik op deze de frekwentie niet hoger zetten dan 120 Hz maar dat is toch al behoorlijk goed voor films. Maar mijn oude monitor gebruik ik nu nog voor het schrijven van dit verslagje, terwijl ik een stijve nek krijg bij het omlaagkijken. Daar moet ik nog iets op vinden.:) De cijfer weergave voor deze monitor heb ik nog niet lang over nagedacht, dus kijk daar niet teveel naar.
