The image doesn't appear grainy and is even razor-sharp up close. Gaming on a QHD monitor does require a powerful video card. Which video card you need depends on the games you play. For example, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (Super) is very suitable for World of Warcraft in QHD, but struggles to reach 60 fps in the latest Assassin's Creed.
